Prevent Static Electricity in Hair

ADVERTISEMENTS

Static electricity may create flyaway hair conditions in cold winter months, low humidity or dry air. This typical hair problem comes from the buildup of positively charged particles in your hair and may be annoying as it makes your hair literally stand up on end. There are several home remedies you can use or the other options involve the application of hair products.

Things You'll Need:

  • Mousse, gel or pomade
  • Hair spray
  • Brush
  • Hanger
  • Dryer sheet

Instructions
  1. Add hair products to your hair, such as mousse, gel or pomade. Place a quarter-sized drop into your hand and run your hands through your hair. Allow the product to absorb into your hair and create weight to hold the hair down.
  2. Mist hair spray onto your brush. Run it down the hair from the roots to the ends to add weight to your hair. Finish styling your hair and use the hair spray liberally over your hair to reduce flyaway strands and static electricity.
  3. Rub your hair with a metal clothes hanger. Start at the top of the head and slide the hanger over the hair to the ends to absorb the electricity.
  4. Pass a fabric softening dryer sheet through your hair and work it down the ends of the shaft. Reduce the electricity in your hair before resuming styling as usual.
  5. Change your hairbrush from a synthetic brush to one with natural materials. Pick a boar-bristle hair brush as it reduces static electricity buildup.

How to Grow Longer Hair in 30 Days

ADVERTISEMENTS
Growing long hair is a tedious process that requires the know-how to properly care for your hair while it grows. While there is no way to force your hair to grow at a faster pace, you can use a few different techniques that will maximize your potential hair growth. If good hair habits are practiced, it is possible to grow your hair up to a half inch in 30 days.

Things You'll Need:

  • Strengthening shampoo
  • Coarse bristled brush
  • Instructions

  1. Begin using a shampoo that is specially formulated to strengthen the strands of your hair. This will help prevent breakage, which can make the hair appear as if it is growing slower. Use your fingertips to massage your scalp as you are shampooing.
  2. Wait for your hair to dry before brushing it with a coarse bristled brush. These brushes are designed to pull the natural oil near the scalp all the way down the hair shaft. Brush up to three times a day but avoid excessive brushing, which can cause hair to weaken.
  3. Include lots of protein in your diet. Liver, eggs, fish, and beans are all very good for your hair.
  4. Give yourself a scalp massage once a week to improve the blood circulation and encourage hair growth. Rub small circles into the scalp with your finger tips.
  5. Avoid excessive amounts of unnecessary sugar, fat, alcoholic beverages and caffeine.
  6. Drink 64 ounces of water a day. This will keep you hydrated and allow your hair to grow at its maximum potential.

Hair Care Tips

ADVERTISEMENTS
Your hair is an essential element to your signature overall look. It’s one of the first things someone will notice about you. If you aren’t careful in caring for your hair, even the most expensive cosmetics, jewelry and fashion forward clothing won’t make up for dull, damaged and lifeless locks. Here are the key culprits for damaged hair: too much sun, excessive or harsh brushing, heat styling, overly stressful lifestyles, chlorine, salt water and even bad habits like twirling your hair. Here are some helpful hints to help you prevent damage, grow your hair to the length you desire and keep it looking strong, shiny and healthy.

Achieving healthy hait is much easier with a few essential guidelines. The following are 5 of the most basic healthy hair tips that can help you get softer, more manageable hair:

1) Be gentle when using heat on your hair. Heat-styling is shine-killer, so whenever possible, allow hair to air dry naturally. If air drying is not an option, set your styling tools on a low setting. If you can let your hair partially air dry, you can at least eliminate a large portion of the heat styling, which will be that much better for your hair.

2) Limit the use of hair sprays and gels containing alcohol. These products will ultimately leave your hair dry and brittle. Anti-frizz serum is a great alternative to gel. The serum will smooth your hair and leave it shiny and manageable.

3) Avoid shampooing your hair every day. Shampoo strips away natural oils from the scalp, robbing your hair of shine. Ideally, hair should be washed every 3 days or so, depending on how dry or oily your hair tends to be. Brush hair every day to distribute the natural oils to the ends of you hair.

4) Utilize natural hair remedies. For example, extra virgin olive oil can work miracles on dry, unruly hair. Adding a few drops to your normal conditioner will leave your hair silky smooth. Olive oil can also be used on clean, damp hair as a serum. Simply rub a few drops between your palms, and apply to you hair before styling.

5) Deep conditioning is one of the most effective to keep hair healthy. To dramatically improve the look and feel of your hair, use a deep conditioner once a week. Avoid rinsing with hot water if possible. Instead, rinse with cool water to seal the hair cuticle and improve shine. A deep conditioner helps to protect your hair, keep it flexible and strong so that you have less breakage in between treatments.

These tips for healthy hair can be adjusted depending on your hair’s unique type, texture, and style. Nurture your hair, and the payoff will be healthy, shiny locks that you can be proud of.

I used to have a 83cm long hair with me, but last year Aug i decided to cut it short.. But when im with my long hair the thing that I must do is to make sure my hair look silky and straight.. tell you what my hair is without rebonding.. you must be thinking IMPOSSIBLE ! but that's true.. will reveal how I take care of my hair to make sure it is in a good condition which can be see and touch soon! So, STAY TUNE!
